Veracruz All Natural: Tacos

What do you think of when someone mentions TACOS?
Carne asada? Taco Bell? Cilantro? Salsa? Queso?

If I were to ask you to tell me the first word that comes up in your head after you try this food truck...you would say VERACRUZ. I've eaten sooo many different tacos in my life. But, let me tell you... These tacos are unreal.

About a week ago, my friend and I stopped by this food truck to get JUICE. Besides their "out of the world" tacos, Veracruz is known for their all-natural juice bar and fruit cups. We had just had a bunch of Church's chicken and were completely stuffed. After getting our incredible watermelon Agua Fresca, we kept looking at the continuous crowd of people coming to the truck and walking off with a handful of tacos.

We were so full and didn't want to eat anything else, but having all those people talking about how good the tacos were made us cave in. It didn't help that the menu was right in front of us and the tacos are ONLY $3 each! We got in line and were ordering in no time. The service was excellent and the owner was so nice and cheerful.

We ordered two Barbacoa tacos. Wow... just, wow... I can't even describe to you how delicious the first bite was. Then the second. And the third... Before I knew it, my taco was gone. AND I WASN'T EVEN HUNGRY!! We ended up ordering an additional taco each and were beyond satisfied.

You'll understand once you try it yourself. These tacos are to die for.
I can honestly say that Veracruz Tacos are the best tacos in the world.

They also have fruit cups, elote, sandwiches, and snowcones!

I can't wait to go back!

Lee's Hurricane Party

Who doesn't love a yummy bowl of Gumbo...or Crawfish Tacos... or Fried Catfish...or any kind of Po Boy...??? There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that my favorite food is Cajun food...Anything Cajun is amazing!

As I started my food truck adventure, I looked for the best Cajun food trucks in the area. Out of the many different trucks, I found this one to be the most intriguing one because of all the loving posts on their Facebook page. So much positive feedback was posted on their page, along with pictures that made my mouth water like crazy! These are pictures Lee and her customers posted on the truck's Facebook page.

I'm positive you won't meet a friendlier owner than Lee. Everyone loves Lee!! All the customers around us were happy because of the great food and the friendly service. Everything is under $10 and the portions are more than generous. There's covered seating available and a wide selection of yummy sauces for your meal. The gumbo and the Po Boys are to die for!

SADLY, this truck is closed until next semester...but I can guarantee that if you try it just ONE time, you will be one of the many frequent customers in line next semester!

Chi'Lantro: Korean-Mexican Fusion

As a Korean girl who was born and raised in Costa Rica, I was intrigued by all this hype about Korean-Mexican fusion food trucks. Although Mexican food isn't quite the same as what I was used to in Costa Rica, I was still so eager to try this out!

The word Chi'Lantro was made up from the two staple ingredients in Korean and Mexican cuisine -- Kimchi and Cilantro. This food truck offers fresh, clean, affordable, and explosive meals. They offer all sorts of yummy food--tacos, burritos, burgers, quesadillas, rice bowls, hot dogs and fries!

Their tacos are loaded with your choice of meat, Korean soy vinaigrette salad, cilantro, their own special salsa, onion and sesame seeds.

Most of my non-Korean friends hate Kimchi...but NOT when they go to Chi'Lantro. All of them get the delicious Kimchi Fries and LOVE them!

Out of the MANY Korean-Mexican fusion food trucks I've ever tried (Coreanos, OhMyGogi!, Kogi, ssahmBBQ), Chi'Lantro is my favorite. I beg you to go try it if you haven't already! You'll be a Korean-Mexican fusion junkie afterwards. Guaranteed!

These, my friends, are massive and dangerously tasty donuts... topped with whatever you want.You can make your own creation OR choose from the 23 different ones already on the menu. They're handmade and fried right when you order.

I'm constantly amazed by this whole "food truck" concept. This truck looked like a tin can, surrounded by little tables and an enormous group of people. I took some of my friends last weekend, knowing that they don't have much of a sweet tooth. After taking the last few bites of the FOUR donuts we ordered, they wouldn't stop talking about how good it was. 

Besides feeling like we were going to die of heart attacks from eating so much fried, sweet, and fatty food... it was the most incredible midnight snack ever! Take my word and go try this place. You'll love it!
